Seawater for hydration
Whether it was drinking them or bathing in them, mineral-rich spa, spring and sea waters have been enjoyed in Britain for at least two centuries for their healing and health-enhancing properties.
‘Seawater contains every mineral known to man, even traces of gold,’ says Ian Taylor of Green People cosmetics. ‘However, it isn’t used much in skincare creams because the mineral content would interfere with its stability, unless it’s perhaps used in tiny proportions. It works best in other forms, such as a soak.’
